  • Lake George, NY FINALLY FROZE!

The lake is finally frozen. Froze earlier this week and has been making ice as it has been fairly cold at night and not to warm during the days. Not too many ice drinkers, I mean ice fisherman though, which is VERY surprising. Usually they are out the day or 2 after the lake freezes. We got about 8 or 9 inches of fluff and have no base. Trails are closed. If cold stays and the lake builds some more ice, could be riding it this weekend.
Proudly burning fossil fuels in vast quantities to go FAST, have FUN, and piss off tree huggin' hypocritical LIBERALS!

Socialism is great idea until you run out of OTHER peoples money!

Snowmobiling is not what I do. It is who I AM!

    shane,
a couple of my buddies were fishing it this weekend over by pauls fathers & said there was about 3-4 inches of ice. If it stays cold all week could be maybe 8" of ice by weekend, thats enough to run from from million dollar beach down to long island as long as you don't let off the flipper!

I honestly didn't think that lake was ever going to freeze this year. What happened with that winter festival they have every year? The lake was still all water for it this year.

It's a shame when people go through & don't come back up. Too early to bring the quads on the lake. People need to use more sense when venturing out on the ice.
