    now from the NWS

THE COLD ADVECTION CONTINUES THROUGH SUNDAY AND SUNDAY NIGHT WITH LAKE EFFECT SNOW FORMING EAST OF THE LAKES. THIS WILL ALSO BE AN OROGRAPHICALLY ENHANCED SITUATION WITH THE HEAVIER LAKE SNOWS OVER THE HILLS EAST OF LAKES ERIE AND ONTARIO WITH WESTERLY WINDSACROSS BOTH LAKES. LAKE ONTARIO'S TUG HILL REGION AND AREAS ALONG THE SOUTHEASTERN LAKE SHORE WILL BE ESPECIALLY HARD HIT AS THIS COULD BE A PROLONGED LAKE SNOW EVENT LASTING WELL INTO TUESDAY.

These are the words we've been waiting to hear. "Lake Ontario's Tug Hill Region . . . will be especially hard hit"
In this world we're living in, we have our share of sorrow . . . answer now is don't give in, aim for a new tomorrow.

...WINTER STORM WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM SATURDAY AFTERNOON
      THROUGH SUNDAY MORNING...

A WINTER STORM WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM SATURDAY AFTERNOON
      THROUGH SUNDAY MORNING.

LOW PRESSURE IS EXPECTED TO MOVE NORTH FROM WESTERN PENNSYLVANIA
TO NEAR BUFFALO SATURDAY NIGHT AND ON INTO ONTARIO DURING SUNDAY.
THIS SYSTEM WILL SPREAD A VARIETY OF PRECIPITATION ACROSS OUR
REGION AND BE FOLLOWED BY MUCH COLDER AIR ON SUNDAY.

THE PRECIPITATION SHOULD START AS RAIN BY EARLY SATURDAY
AFTERNOON. THIS RAIN MAY MIX WITH OR CHANGE TO WET SNOW AT TIMES
INTO SATURDAY EVENING. AS THE LOW MOVES BY...PRECIPITATION WILL
CHANGE TO SNOW LATER SATURDAY NIGHT AND WINDS WILL INCREASE. THIS
SNOW SHOULD CONTINUE INTO SUNDAY BEFORE DIMINISHING IN THE
AFTERNOON. SEVERAL INCHES OF SNOW ARE POSSIBLE...ESPECIALLY OVER HIGHER
ELEVATIONS. TRAVEL WILL BE DIFFICULT LATE SATURDAY NIGHT AND
SUNDAY. THE SNOW WILL LIKELY BE HEAVY AND WET...AT LEAST
INITIALLY...WHICH COMBINED WITH STRONG WINDS COULD CREATE PROBLEMS
WITH POWER LINES AND TREE LIMBS.

AS THE COLD AIR DEEPENS ON SUNDAY...ADDITIONAL MOISTURE FROM LAKE
ERIE MAY ADD TO THE ACCUMULATIONS SOUTHEAST OF THE LAKE FROM LAKE
EFFECT SNOW. LAKE EFFECT WILL CONTINUE ACROSS THOSE AREAS INTO THE
      EARLY PART OF NEXT WEEK.

A WINTER STORM WATCH MEANS THAT SEVERE WINTER WEATHER IS
POSSIBLE. IF YOU ARE WITHIN THE WATCH AREA...REMAIN ALERT TO
RAPIDLY CHANGING WEATHER CONDITIONS. STAY TUNED TO THE NATIONAL
WEATHER SERVICE OR THE LOCAL NEWS MEDIA FOR THE LATEST UPDATES
      AND POSSIBLE WARNINGS.

      let it snow for plowing.

Statement as of 3:27 PM EST on February 03, 2006

... Lake effect snow watch in effect from Sunday afternoon through
              Tuesday afternoon...

The National Weather Service in Buffalo has issued a lake effect
snow watch... which is in effect from Sunday afternoon through
              Tuesday afternoon.

Low pressure moving north of Lake Ontario will bring a general
1 to 3 inches of snow Sunday morning. Much colder air filtering
into the area Sunday afternoon will then generate bands of lake
effect snow off Lake Ontario. The lake snows will pick up Sunday
night and last through Tuesday. Snow accumulations of******* 1 to 2 feet*******
are expected by Tuesday evening in the most persistent lake snow
              areas.

A lake effect snow watch means that significant winter weather is
possible in localized areas within the next 36 hours. Stay tuned
to NOAA Weather Radio and other radio and TV stations for further
              details or updates.

I am not even getting a little excited about this. If it happens it happens if it don't well then it would just be the typical weather that we have had. But I may combust lol. I got 9 days left to ride till my winter is over no matter what. Would be nice to get a couple more hundred miles.
