Beginig in Oct-05 ALL snowmobiles must now have trail permits to ride on any State/Grant-In-Aid trail. The permits cost $16/year, or 31/3yr (3yr sticker only if you are renewing registration). If you get cought without one, they make you buy a $31/yr penelty sticker.
